O documentário tem direção de Kevin Kerslake, que já produziu material em vídeo para diversas bandas, como Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Offspring, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, Pharcyde, e Soundgarden. O projeto foi criado por Kurt Cobain e supervisionado pelos outros membros do Nirvana, Dave Grohl e Krist Novoselic.
